Hello, we are The Ascenders, a jam/rock band from northern California. Our music ranges from psychedelic ballads to rock and roll, we are heavily influenced by The Grateful Dead and can play entire shows of Dead songs if desired, however, we play original music and other classics as well.

    We have been an active band since 2011, In that time we have played venues/festivals such as. For The Funk Of It, Skull and Roses, Jerry Bash, Sacred Movement, etc. And shared the stage with musicians such as A Bear (JGB), Jonathon Stoyanoff (Joe Craven) and David Ganz. Our band consists of four core members with other rotating members. Darby McConnell of Soul Majestic, Aziah McConnell, Baynayah McConnell, only eighteen years of age as the lead guitarist, and Glenn Tucker of JC Flyer, The Deadbeats, Dog Named Blue and Gravybrain.
